Linda Painan is a Singaporean Chinese entrepreneur and philanthropist who has made a significant impact in Shanghai over the past 26 years. She is the chairperson of The Expatriate Center (TEC), not to mention a full-time volunteer, and has been recognized for her contributions with the Nomination Award for the first Hongqiao Friendship Award in 2020. She is also a member of the Hongqiao Friendship Alliance, a key committee focused on economic and social development programs.
As a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an exclusive business honor society, Linda Painan is celebrated for her academic excellence in business studies. She has been actively involved in various business ventures since the year 2000, operating businesses involving real estate, golf courses, professional coatings, and other fields.
In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Linda Painan has a strong commitment to philanthropy. She has established a poverty alleviation project in 2012, providing full tuition funding for over 60 children in impoverished mountainous areas of Sichuan, enabling them to access education and improve their lives.
Prior to her entrepreneurial journey, Linda Painan also served as the CEO of a health food company in Southeast Asia and held the position of Head of Investment Fund at Deutsche Bank’s Hong Kong Branch from 1996 to 2000. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Boston University, where she was admitted at the young age of 17. Throughout Linda Painan’s education journey, she has also been a member of the “Golden Key Association,” the world’s largest college elite honor association.
