Sha Ye is the managing partner of Chengwei Capital, executive director of Guan Media. He is an active investor in internet and wireless platform, e-commerce, electric vehicle, and education. Sha has served on the board of a number of industry leaders including Sunny Optical, Youku Tudou, Hellobike, Qingting FM.
He is the cofounder and provost of San Si Institute, a trustee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Education Development Foundation, a trustee of Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, a senior fellow at the China Institute, Fudan University, a member of Council of Global Advisors for Yale School of Management and a fellow at Aspen Institute.
Before joining Chengwei Capital, Sha was the founder and CEO of BMI Asia, which was acquired by Convergys Corporation in 2007.
Sha received a master’s degree in computer science from Wesleyan University and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
